The Importance of Interdisciplinarity
I think that there's this blurriness that we're seeing or an increased blurriness between the disciplines and that these words are becoming much more elastic, perhaps, than they used to be. And so I absolutely embrace it and see it as a natural fit. I also see it as at once natural in a university. And yet also still not fully understood or let's say, yeah, cultivated or vetted or promoted by the university system. So I see it as the interdisciplinarity as the core challenge of our university system in the US.
