The History of Sushi in Japan

Sushi developed into the national dish of Japan in the 19th century. The great Kanto earthquake destroyed much of Tokyo, but gave sushi a chance to spread around country. From high end luxury restaurants using the best ingredients and masters hand crafting the dishes,. It's now available at supermarkets across the country. If I think about sushi in the UK, two types of fish seem most popular, tuna and salmon.
