The Evolution of GPS

The first planes I flew were all six-pack steam gauges, right? We didn't have GPS units in them and we were regardless even if you do, you've got to learn how to fly by paper maps. So when we got GPS in the planes and I saw how much easier it was to navigate just using GPS. Oh, yeah. Your awareness of your position became second nature. And then what you enabled you to do was put your awareness onto other things that were going on in the aircraft.
