The Importance of a One Month Break

You've got the floor, which is your baseline, I guess, level of robustness. But then you've got that required capacity, which isyour ceiling. And so if you normally run 100 kilometers in a week and then don't run for four weeks, then there's going to be a period of time where you have to build your chronic load again. The safest thing that I could recommend is, yes, get away from your sport. Try and mentally refresh from whatever sport that you're doing but try and keep your chronic load just ticking over.
