The Medicare Levy Search Arch
Medicare Levy and Medicare Levy Search Arch are two different concepts. You can have private health insurance after your Lifetime Loading Base Date, then not be eligible to pay that loading. And you're allowed to have some gaps in your cover and not be affected by the loading. These include suspension of cover, being overseas for various reasons,. usually work purposes or days of absence or gaps in cover. Depends on the private health insurance. It's a little bit too finicky to go through that on a podcast episode.
