Building a Positive Energy Culture in a School
We had little teams of teachers leading different parts of the big six which became their little project and their baby in a way. It became less about me pushing it through but more about staff owning different components. Someone created an extended code scope and sequence for the year 3 to year 6 teachers to use because they weren't sure what to do. Somebody became morphology focused and they would be pushing out activities you could do with the class. In the end we got a scope and sequence created by this team. We had the phonological awareness for phonemic awareness team that would push out and they ended up finding equity which we used in the beginning.
