Back in high school and in my early 20s, I was fairly fluent in Spanish. Back then I was kind of fluent, but you know, nowadays I never use Spanish. And yeah, it was quite comprehensible. If I had just watched a regular Spanish language TV show, I wouldn't have been able to follow very well.
