Both Matthew and Luke have Jesus born of a virgin. One of the interesting differences is why he had to be born of airgin. The angel Gabriel comes to Mary and says, you're going to conceive a child. She says, what? Never had sex. I'm not going to have sex. No, no, no. The Holy Spirit is going to get you pregnant. So Mary gets pregnant by the Spirit so that Jesus is the divine Son of God.Matthew doesn't say anything like that. In this case, it's really there. It's a good start.
