The Differences Between a PhD and a 5 Year PhD
Going straight to industry helped me learn how to actually make a product. The special thing that you get from doing a PhD, not having the degree, is what creates that pain we all remember. It's not having any direction or very specific goals, but having to make something out of almost nothing. But again, this is me not having done a PhD, so that could be wrong.
