i wonder do you think that food offers like a unique cultural means to which to connect to history in a way that like we're doing it's just the same way right and if so are we actually doing that. Are we connecting to our past through food could we be doing that better is there potential here we're not using i don't know really where i'm going here but um but what might it look like?Yeah yeah no it's an interesting question for the first time last semester i incorporated a kind of historical cooking lab into my new food history class where we were recreating old recipes for two modules. The ingredients were ones i could easily go fine at the grocery store today
