Anima and Shinen Ye, Girls and Boys
The two terms shoje and shonen ye, ostensibly girls and boys. But how do those come into play with anime? Ime this is almost as bad as trying to define anima itself. There's all these really fascinating is going on with the categories of shogo and shonen. Shonen is the massive dominant one though, as i'm sure you're well aware. And for that reason, i'm finding it increasingly interesting watching things like hero academia, which have their action narratives that are very shonen in style. Are they now much more interested in gone ideas than they seem to have been in maybe previous generations.
