The World Health Organization recommends 150 minutes of exercise a week. The more you do, the better until it starts to be kind of really diminishing returns. Most people doing four or five runs a week are going to be at the right level. I'm trying to think of examples of incredibly intelligent people who ran. A mental picture of Einstein on a treadmill now is really weird.
