Amicus With Dahlia Lithwick | Law, justice, and the courts
The Indictment of Judge Eileen Cannon
Judge Eileen Cannon oversaw Trump's initial effort to thwart the investigation into the classified documents at Marvel logo. The 11th Circuit, which is quite conservative, had to smack her down twice and remind her ultimately that she had no right to even hear this case in the first place. She issued for the first time in the history of the Republic, an order that purported to halt a pre-indictment criminal investigation. A majority of these crimes carry a 20 year prison sentence and a $250,000 fine.
