The federal reserve has announced a ratehike of point seven five %. That's the first increase of this size in over 25 years. It seems pretty obvious now, if it wasn't before, that inflation is really going to be the dominant economic phenomenon of our moment. The only real outlier of low inflation at this point is japan, which has moved from outright deflation to an inflation rate of two%. And france is interesting because it only has five % inflation right now.
