Unreal was one of the first games to use detailed texturing. It took three years to develop this game Unreal, and it reached 1.5 million units in sales by 2002. After the success of Unreal, Epic moves onto Unreal Tournament. They were looking at modders for Quake and Reaper Bot when they came up with Unreal U-Browser.
