Going to Midian in the Book of Genesis
Moses flees to Midian, which anticipates the same path that the Israelites will take later on. This is where he's going to meet his wife by a well and this again connects him to these ancestral stories in the book of Genesis. Why does God deliver his children from Egyptian slavery? It's basically to keep a promise to the patriarchs - Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That is the reason why they're delivered from Egyptian slavery.
