In 411-410 BC, Diadorus records how a new civil war broke out on Coursaira. An oligarchic faction either gained control of the government again, or was threatening to do so. In response, some democratic Coursairians sent envoys to the Athenians to request for their assistance. Conan dispatched an unspecified number of ships to give them aid. The democrats then set free all of the Coursairian slaves and gave citizenship to any foreigner who was living among them as a measure of precaution.
