How Do You Mentor Young Men to See Women Not as Objects?

"I had inappropriate things happening to me from a very early age seven up until I was 17 It shaped the way I saw things in myself," he said. "It affected my life to the point in my adulthood. I blew so much so many things up." He now mentors young men and says they need to see women as people, not objects.

Young boys need guidance. Activist, speaker and mentor Ashanti Branch talks about his journey from teacher to full time mentor, being vulnerable with your emotions, the challenges facing young men and the importance of leading by example. Through his work with his nationwide #MillionMaskMovement Ashanti is helping young boys, and particularly black young men remove their “masks” and reveal the emotions that reside inside.
