There is this difference in Japanese education in school, then you will have a lot of sort of gradual trying to build a concept throughout a lesson. It kind of, to me, looks a bit like discovery learning, so let's do discovery learning. And that failed really badly because of certain problems with discovery learning. But anyway, this is a topic I can't really flesh out fully here, because I would be talking for too long.
