NPM uninstall can do literally anything. Sometimes you have two dependencies that depend upon a third dependency. NPM install kills all your sim links and you have to do it all over again. I wonder if this is why if you went and you and you did an MPM link and then you go and you run NPM install or pre uninstall on something else, it kills all my sim links.
