The Special Relationship Between Britain and the United States

Britain does have a special relationship with the United States. It's hugely important that we stand by Ukraine, and most Republicans recognize that. There is broad consensus in both the Senate and Congress that we have to support the Ukrainians at this time. If you believe in a rules based order, the United States was so important in drawing it up. And my personal friendship with Barack Obama is central to that. But it's been very, very important. I now think I've been to the U.S. four times since taking up this role in November 2021. Will be my fourth occasion when I go back in September since taking upthis role in November 2019.
