Is There a Randomized Controlled Trial of Sham Surgery?

This trial was pard to look for a 3 and a half % reduction in that primary outcome. The outcomes assessors were apparently blinded. There 's no difference whether you were randomized the c t c a group or the conventional care group. You had a six percent chance of having a death or non fatal mi within a year. And so they did find a significant amount of carnary disease in this intermediate, possibly even high, risk category of patients - but it's very hard to prove that a diagnostic test saves legs.
