The Souls of Black Folk by Robert Dubois
Duboys refers to the souls of black folk as a cry at midnight, thick within the veil. He calls it an exposition and militant challenge, defiant with dogged hope. Duboys argues that just as ownership of laborers was eventually recognized as unnecessary and wrong in the case of slavery, private ownership of land, tools and raw materials should be challenged and ultimately eradicated.
