The Role of Stereotypes in Anthropology

Anthropologists often indulge in the use of stereotypes during informal chats. The stereotype do not lay this sorry, this, let me reformulate the stereotypes. They do not so much lie in patterns of gender segregation, but more on social dispositions associated with gender roles. Men and women are not related to kinship ties or very, very strong friendship permissions. Let's say women are separated as much as men. So in certain spaces are precluded to women, others are precludes to men. Most importantly, gender, gender segregation do not point to women, twins lack of agency or absolute subordination.
