Puton, He's Not Going to Act Until After the Olympics
I think negotiations have now started. They've not quite started in earnest, but i suspect they will. If he was going to act, he wasn't going to act until after the olympics because he doesn't want to undermine or embarrass bejing. He's likely to still take a bite or two at the apple to escalate before diplomacy has a chance to really play out. I could see them decide to send some military over to venezuela or to cuba. It's not a precipitous escalation. But i do think that there is a real possibility that puton does military escalate.
