What Is Ungrading in Academia?
Jesse Stommel: I think grades are certainly the locus of power in the institution. He says ungrading isn't about taking grades off the table, it's about critical thinking about grades. "I show up as a full student, as a full learner in the classroom," he says. The idea of co-intentional education from Paulo Freire is that teachers are also students.
