The Different Approaches to Aristotle's Ethics

Renaissance interpreters were experts at overlooking the differences between ancient authors as much as possible. They all spoke the same truth, they thought, even though they were coming from different perspectives. And so in some ways, a lack of historical perspective brought them to flatten some of the very great differences that we see today among thinkers.
