Is There a Start Date for Japanese Studies?
In Japan, like in Nagoya, especially if you have a roommate or something, that's totally livable. Most of the people I knew who were students lived alone,. But definitely if you had a roommate, that would be even more affordable. The thing is, the stipends don't kick in until a couple months in. They recommend $2,000-ish of your own money to be able to like afford rent and everything and food before that. Once the stipend kicks in, then you should be good.
