What Are the Benefits of Taking Synthetic Vitamin C?

Vitamin C supplements are made from corn syrup or corn starch derived from GMO crops. Synthetic ascorbic acid is structurally similar to naturally derived whole food sources of vitamin C, but they are not the same thing.
