What Is a Table?
A table is this object that functions in a certain way. It's got nothing to do with shape. I don't think it's about shape at all. A table's where you sit, where the chairs go. There's usually chairs associated with tables. You move towards the table, and you're near the table. The stuff goes on the table. And that's what separates tables from other things more than anything else. But there are certain things in a chest of drawers that are also kind of like tables because you put things on them.
