Does Trans Inclusion Affect Women's Sports?

The best estimates put the transgender population in North America at somewhere between 0.3% to a little under 1%. There's no official list of trans athletes in the NCAA but the best numbers I could find for an estimate place that are about 50 active competitors in the NCAA and let's assume that all of those are trans women so well how many NCAA athletes were there right in 2020?
