Abu Bakr had some very good generals running this strategy for him and call it Ibn Walid, Iqlama and several others who are not as well known. And the guys were excellent generals, and they put this thing out like almost to perfection. It was an amazing strategy over some very rough, tough terrain against an enemy force that was humongous in numbers.
