Nathan Frutenthal Leopold Jr. and Richard Albert Lobe, University of Chicago students forever known to history as Leopold and Lobe. These men committed a murder for no real reason other than to test themselves against their theory that some people were beyond the laws that applied to the rest of the world. Both were wealthy, born to wealthy families. Both were prodigies gifted extremely intelligent.
