The Dual Quality of Imagination

There can be unconscious meanings. There are meanings that are completely apart from language. Lewis understood this dual quality of imagination. And therefore, he also understood the importance of teaching to the imagination so that people could encounter not so much truth as the real through concrete imaginative experiences.
