Is the Law Promoting Deliberate Ignorance More Than Others?

Is it that certain institutions promote deliberate ignorance more than others? I mean clearly what is clear is that for instance the law sometimes desperately seeks for knowledge, needs to know knowledge in order to come to a fair judgment. And it could well be that also or think for instance of the digital world where an enormous part of the discussion currently is how fair or unfair is algorithmic decision-making. It's like it's the tension between if you will between too much and too little knowledge.
