DeSantis Is in a Political Battle for the Republican Nomination
Disney filed a federal lawsuit against Governor DeSantis and other state officials. The suit alleges, quote, a targeted campaign of government retaliation orchestrated at every step by the governor. Florida has revoked that self-governing status in the area around the theme parks. Over the last year, DeSantis has seemingly tried to damage Disney for the sin of publicly opposing his state's don't say gay education law.
