Black Feminism and the Health Win

For a very long time, black feminists have not always felt meaningfully represented or centered by white feminists. The early suffragette movement left black women's voting rights out of their advocacy altogether as a strategic tactic. Hood feminism is about survival because for those who are facing all of these issues from gun violence to housing, their first concern has to be staying alive long enough to fight for their rights.
