Do English People Love Oppression?

I think in the United States at least I really couldn't speak about it in England although I assume it has some of the same attributes. There's a fawning worship of money itself and of ostentatious spending. People have lauded Trump for cheating our country out of his taxes, while it's a James in New York who lied about everything. And yet he has fawning followers who just worship his wealth that wealth itself is considered a worship worthy attribute. Do you think it's that way in England too? A lot of the stuff around austerity measures and then Brexit was this idea that we all have to pull together and go through this difficult time, and we'll come out
