CHAPTER

How to Write the Etos of the Classics

When people write, they mostly write for the culture and the ethos of their time. There are extremely subtle layers of meaning that go into the pace, rhythm and cadence of what you are writing. The problem is that those implications do not survive changes in the general ethos of a cu adand they are bound to be misunderstood. It is nearly impossible for the average person to read literature or the classics -  not only in classical greee but i am using the word the classics in a more loose sense a literature from previous times, previous epochs.
