The Importance of Intersubjectivity in Relationships

Cheryl: There's a term out there called intersubjectivity. It's used by a guy named Dan Shaw who does fantastic work in narcissistic relationships. The concept of intersubjectivity is the idea that two people can be in a relationship and have their own experience and perceptions but simultaneously also recognize that the other person is having their own experiences and perceptions. So that's kind of the opposite of gaslighting. Cheryl: A lot of the stuff you're laying out here interestingly, Cheryl, is very much related to stuff like trust boundaries.
