Nica has this perhaps unusual way of presenting his ideas, which may be ly rare within philosophy. He tells us that we shouldn't really believe him, and that zarathustra's not a reliable source. Nica insists on unconscious origins of all our motives and even our philosophical ideas. And so our attempt to have control over the world through our own self conscious rationality has to yield to a love of fate.
