The Importance of the Selection of Features in Cartography

i've heard it being said that catographies essentially an ego centric enterprise, ad that it reflects the wold views and enbises of the cartographers. A i think this is a perfect example of how, you know, these soviet will views and priorities, whether military or civil, influence the way these mats were producedy. It's something that really comes across very strongly if you look by comparison ordinant survey maps and how they've developed over time. Obviously, ordinate survey neading to sell paper maps as well.
