If you just hate doing all of this, then ideally people come to you and you don't actually ever have to apply or rarely have to apply. The practical answer is if you're happy to apply to jobs, then just put in a lot of effort into your website. And if you're not, then a good five to 10 years building your network, your connections, you're done.
