No one is kissing in the Magnus archives. There were a couple of ways of making it less offensive on the year, but it still sounds like someone's eating chewing gum at you. So yeah, fundamentally, it is intended as a romance. It will continue to be so through season five that it will not be the focus. But at the same time, if you interpret it differently, if your reactions to the text are different, I mean, you're not wrong. Because it's art. That's how it works.
