The Christian Religion of Jesus
The religion of Jesus is better represented by James, the Sermon on the Mount. That's not what they're asking for. They're asking for faith in the Paul line Christian religion. And that's different from Jesus's religion, which essentially a kind of reformed Judaism. This is a religion about Jesus.
