The Health Benefits of Lard
Lard is monosaturated fats. It's not trans fat, which has been turned into molecules that are very hard for the body to absorb properly and can create disease. You don't really consume that much lard over the course of a year. I would use the fresh stuff you get from the farmers market and you can even make it yourself. By the way, it makes the world's best pie dough.
