The Imperative to Minimizing Surprise or Expected Free Energy
Free energy principle provides a relatively simple account of the way that things are and the way that they behave or must be must behave if they exist. Within that relatively straightforward bit of physics and differential equations and density dynamics then you can see the kinds of behaviors that you are very much interested in. The same imperative to minimizing surprise or expected free energy in the physicist's sense can also be applied to the way that we act, he says.
