EPA and DHA taken by people with high triglycerides has a really good triglyceride lowering effect. This is shown from quite robust randomized clinical trials. Most chronic diseases now that are impacting Western populations such as type 2 diabetes, some cancers and cardiovascular disease is underpinned by chronic inflammation. So I think EPA and DHA are particularly valuable.
