Brigham Young and the Mormons
Brigham Young led the Mormons to N'voo, Utah in 1844 after Joseph Smith was killed by militia men. The mob violence against the Mormons continued as they tried to find a permanent home for their new sect. Between 1844 and 1846, Young married 33 women and consummated at least a few of them. He also had three different children from three different wives.
