The Importance of Congress in a Representative Republic
CNN's John Sutter asks why the Supreme Court seems to be so much more important than other branches of government at times like this. He says there are no requirements for a Supreme Court justice, not even citizenship. The Constitution does specify how old Congressmen have to be and how long they've lived in the U.S., but it doesn't say anything about justices.
